Video games are the best way to enjoy your free time. One can play video games on a computer, laptop, gaming console at home, and on mobile anywhere. Playing a video game for refreshment or for enjoyment occasionally is good. But playing video games regularly or continuously may lead to addiction also known as video game disorder. Video game addiction is generally defined as problematic, compulsive use of video games ultimately disrupts the ability to keep up the daily responsibility. It causes many harmful effects, even life-threatening effects. Nowadays various games such as PUBG, pokemon Go, Blue Whale, Asphalt are becoming popular and making more and more people addicted to them. Today video game addiction is a big problem not only in children and teenagers but also in adults. Videogame addiction has many bad and harmful effects on one's life. The effects may be as follow:- 

(1) Violence behavior:- In most cases of video game addiction, the behavior of a person becomes violent. They start realizing the video game life as real life. As most video games are violent the behavior of the person becomes violent. 

(2) Loneliness and Unsocial Life:- Video game addicted person uses to stay isolated for playing the game so that no one can disturb them. This makes a person stay alone, resulting in an unsocial lie. 

(3) Mental Problem and Depression:- Addicted people use their minds only for a limited purpose and these video games make them stressed. It affects the mental state of a person adversely and leads them to depression. 

(4) Health Issues:- Health issues are the biggest side-effects of excess video gaming. Obesity, weak eyesight, backache, spinal disorder, muscular problems are common in video game addicted people.

(5) Crime:- Studies showed that video game addictive persons are more likely to commit a crime than those who are not addicted. Thus it may increase the chance of a person committing a crime. 

(6) May Affect Life:- Video game addiction is also affecting adults, it may affect their professional life also. It may affect their performance at the workplace ultimately they lost their job and prosperity.

Video games are the most popular thing to cause addiction which has an adverse impact on a person's physical and psychological activity. An addicted person starts living virtual life. Addicted persons are paly for enjoyment and as an opportunity for a better life. However, video games may lead to dangerous outcomes violence, crime, health issues, etc. These problems prevent social welfare and growth as well as personal development.
